The Dubai Chapter was the fourth MEIRA Chapter to be launched in May 2012. The founding companies consisted of Arabtec, Depa, Dubai Financial Market, Dubai Islamic Bank, DP World, du, EMAAR, Emirates NBD, NASDAQ Dubai and Shuaa Capital.
Together with the MEIRA management and committee heads, the Dubai Chapter has proactively identified and executed various initiatives aimed at raising awareness about best practice IR. Together with the DFM and NASDAQ Dubai, the Association has hosted a range of successful events and conferences, such as the “Achieving best practice IR and Corporate Governance” workshop and the first ever IR Graduate Program for Emirati students based in the UAE.
The Chapter is chaired by Mr Redwan Ahmed, Head of Investor Relations, DP World.

Redwan is the head of Investor relations at DP World and is responsible for the strategic planning, development, coordination and execution of all investor relations activities with the aim of increasing shareholder and debt investor return and enhancing DP World’s image within the investment community.
Previously, he was sell-side equity analyst for 13 years which includes eight years in London covering mostly large-cap UK media companies. More recently at EFG HERMES, the largest regional Investment Bank, he covered sectors such as media, shipping and transportation, logistics and infrastructure (including DP World).
Redwan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Investment from Cass Business School, City University London.
